Fuji Restaurant - Nikko Hotel Saigon

It was a wonderful dining experience at Fuji restaurant, located inside Hotel Nikko Saigon. We sat at the teppanyaki bar and had a really good time. The food was top notched. I really loved the foie gras. It was melting in my mouth. I don't usually drink alcohol but the plum wine was worth a try. Service was of a 5-star hotel restaurant. The only downside is that it is not something you can...

Nhân Sushi

Located in the heart of Saigon, Nhân Sushi is one of my favorite sushi places in the city. The restaurant is small yet it has a warm and cozy atmosphere. The fish are always fresh and high-quality. Presentation is carefully done. Aside from the sushi, my favorite here must be obinmushi (teapot soup). The soup is refreshing and flavorful, plus it is always fun to drink soup from the tiny cup...

Pepper Lunch

My friend took me to this restaurant to have a taste of what she called "Japanese fast food". The system did work like a fast food restaurant. You order, pay first, look for a seat and wait for your food. However the food quality didn't taste like anything out of the freezer at all. Pepper Lunch actually served a variety of steak dishes, in which the meat was still sizzling on an iron plate...

Con Ga Trong by Khmer

The food at Con Ga Trong is a mix of Southeast Asian countries such as Laos and Cambodia (which they call Khmer). Since these food have a lot of similarity to Vietnamese food, it is a popular destination to the Viomnamese at HCMC. I really enjoyed the food whenever I visited the restaurant. The only complaint was the small portion for each dish, yet the price was high compared to other...

Bud's Ice Cream

I went to Bud's with my little cousins and we ordered those ice cream that shaped like cartoon character. They were so cute we couldn't eat them. Other than the cute design, the actual ice cream tasted mediocre. Service was horrible. I wouldn't bring the kids back again.

Binh Tay Market (China Town)

Binh Tay Market is a huge indoor market where you can find pretty much anything. A great tourist destination to pick up local trinkets, clothes, and other stuff. Some of the stuff (brand names) are knock offs so be aware. Enjoy meeting the locals and trying out your bargaining skills.

Cu Chi Tunnels

Don't miss this great tourist spot and learn some history about the Vietnamese civil war. For the daring, check crawl through the tunnels that were used by the Viet Cong. Warning, if you are claustrophobic, DO NOT DO IT.

Also enjoy shooting live ammunition from a selection of high powered rifles. About 23 dollars.
