The Grand Palace

Your rating: None Average: 5 (1 vote)

The Grand Palace of Thailand is a large complex of intricately designed buildings in which the King and his royal government hold royal ceremonies and state functions. The King, however, no longer lives here, but in the Chitralada Palace instead.

You can't take photos of the Emerald Buddha when you're inside the main Chapel. You're allowed to take pictures from the outside though, and the Buddha is visible from the outside.

Tip: Dress properly if visiting. Shorts and skirts are not permitted. They will provide you sarongs (a cover up) if needed.

The Weapons museum is open only on weekdays.

Watch out for scammers -

Don't buy tickets from outside the Palace. Scam artists will try to sell you tickets outside the premises,  but they are on sale inside the palace exclusively.

Beautiful! There is so much to see here! I spent a solid 2 hours walking around taking in the breathtaking sites. I hope I can go back one day!
