Meiji Shrine 明治神宮

Humungous shrine hideen in a forest that is in the middle of shopping center, Shibuya, Tokyo. It's a great place to stop by and see, especially if you're already in the Shibuya/Shinjuku/Harajuku area. After all those shopping malls, it's rather breathtaking to see such a huge shrine in the middle of a dense forest that's in the middle of the city. Entry is completely free as well!

Once you get off at the Harajuku station, do not go towards the shopping mall. Go the opposite direction to get to the forest Meiji Shrine is located in. Very close, quick walk.
