Biwako Fireworks Festival is a must-go event if you have the chance to visit Kansai area during summer. It is usually held at Aug 8th, but the date may change due to the weather. More than 10,000 units of fire works are set off from ships on Lake Biwako during the 60 minute show. Since the lake is large enough to look like a sea, if you can manage to secure a seat around the lake bank in Nagisa Park, who can enjoy the amazing view of fireworks blooming on the horizon line!
Though most of the space of the lake bank in Nagisa Park is free, you have to go there early enough to make sure you have a place to sit. Though the show starts at 19:00, it is difficult to find a space in Nagisa Park after 16:00.
