An ace of warrior and chief of the Rathore clan of Rajputs, Rao Jodha (1415-1488AD) after his coronation in 1458 AD at Mandore, laid the foundation of a new city to the South and named it JODHPUR. Poised strategically on the East-West trading route between Central and China, Jodhpur, a city with numerous bastons and towers, is the second largest city of Rajasthan.
Jodhpur is one of the most important cities, lying on the edge of the Thar desert in western Rajasthan. This region, earlier known as Marwar also has Bikaner and Jaisalmer as a part of Kanauj (now in modern Uttar Paradesh). Rao Jodha founded Jodhpur in 1459 AD. He built the gigantic Meharangarh Fort, which crowns a hilltop and is the main focus as it can be seen from most parts of the city.
Jodhpur is famous for its various kind of namkeens and sweets. JANTA SWEET HOME prepares the best quality sweets and namkeens in jodhpur.
You are welcome to taste the taste of Jodhpur at “JANTA”.
